Tango on El Hierro  / Canary Islands

As already announced in the last news -
on this small island there is even a tango teacher!
 
A few weeks ago I "discovered" Dardo Cabrera.
The Argentinean has been living here for 15 years. His tango lessons
take place in a house built into a grotto. In front of the door is a
plantation where ecologically certified mangos, papayas and bananas
grow.
 
Dardo got his first tango impulses from teachers like Juan Carlos Copes
and Pepito Avellaneda. His real teacher, however, was his father,
who placed special emphasis on show elements (dynamics, speed, stops)
in his lessons. This also influenced Dardo's dance style.
 
Dardo left his home country in 2002 and lived in Tenerife for several
years as a dance teacher. He performed regularly at the Hotel Victoria in
Santa Cruz and also in many other hotels on the island.
 
We arrange contact to Dardo and his tango lessons for guests on our
finca. If you are interested, please let us know when inquiring about
your stay. Because Dardo is in Argentina every now and then for a few
weeks ...
